Elbow Sleeve

My jounrey with SleeveStars continues!  I have recently gone back to lifting weights afer being away for a number of years.  As I age I need to do more and more to stay in shape!

Fortunately for me, SleeveStars has been a great help. I have a knee brace, patella strap and now an elbow sleeve.

As I used dumbbells to lift weights, I notice my arms don't always have as much support as I need.  One key exerice, tricep extensions, is where I feel the weakness the most. Curls and other exercises I don't feel the need as much but a little extra support can't hurt!

So I got a elbow sleeve to help give a little more support during the times I increase the weight. This sleeve has been great, giving me a bit more support when I need it.

My New Kettle!

Recently I moved into a new office which is always an exciting time. Decorating a new place is  challenging and exciting.  Because it is a bit of walk from the kitchen and my tea is important to me, an electric kettle was one of the first things that I purchased for it.

I got the black which is a matte black which is perfect because it fits everything in my office.  .

Sleeve Starts Patella Knee Strap

As I age, my knees are seeming to age much more significantly than I am! Or at least that is what I like to tell myself…..

I had left leg injuring my whole life starting when I was very young. In high school my knee was injured and I have had trouble with that my whole life!  I kind of expect that my left knee will always be wonky but my right knee was always fine until…..

Last summer, I decided to start running again.  My first day I did about two miles on somewhat uneven terrain.  Not a very good idea and my wife let me know! The next day I did a similar thing which was too much for what my body could handle.  

The next morning I woke up to take the dogs out and almost fell over when I put weight on my knee. My head looked down in shock when it was my RIGHT knee that hurt.  I had the classic signs of a sprained knee including my knee buckling when I put any weight on it. The stairs were my enemy and I tried to give it some rest and ice.  After 2-3 weeks it started feeling better.  But the cold weather that came in the Midwest did not help it at all!

My left knee has been problematic for years. This past year, my right knee joined the party.

Drabday Pet Seat Cover

Our dogs love to go outside. Grant in particular loves to find and sniff places that have lots of mud.  Sticky, dirty mud.  Then he wants to go in our cars.

Nope, not going to happen.

So, we decided to get a car seat cover. The Drabday cover is pretty amazing and the black and red colors really go well with my black Honda Element!

It is pretty easy to install and comes with a seatbelt and what I think is a water dish.  There are no instructions which I think would be VERY helpful Here are some pictures installed:

I have used this once with my dogs and they seem to like it! The cover keeps them from coming into the front seat and getting the human clothes dirty as well!

We will try this in my wife's Jeep Renegade as well. I think it will fit even better in her car!
